Laurent (Larry) Piché
Co-Creator / Production Manager

Picture
Torn from a young age and hurled into the vast world of crafting something from nothing this Manitoba native made a large splash early on in his career while starring and acting in the pre-teen show "Clan Destin" at the age of 17. Soon after Laurent found himself an award winning filmmaker with the documentary "Deuxieme Enfance", a win that cemented his understanding of the celluloid arts. This led him to acquire his film directing degree from Vancouver Film School. Following his graduation Laurent immersed himself in many jobs in the subsequent years, all kinds ranging from PA, to Cast Driver, and eventually working his way to Assistant Directing. Laurent is a force to be reckoned with and a lover of the cinematic arts to a near religious philosophy.

Wanting to get back to his roots as an improv artist, Laurent co-created "Vancouver Improv Anywhere", a group of actors who would go onto to perform more than a dozen showcases around the city. And now... after a brief stint of spending time with his beloved family Laurent is back in the film game full time.

Sean Nelson
Senior Event Coordinator

Being the eldest of three boys, it was a constant battle for attention. This, in turn, lead him to acting at a very young age and to make the switch from traditional schooling to an arts focused high school and later university. Finding himself pulled into the working world and his creativity stifled, he needed an outlet for his energy. With a unique perspective and wide-eyed optimism, he attacks each new adventure with enthusiasm. Sean has an insatiable appetite for knowledge and is always looking to learn new things. He also enjoys movies, theatre and any performance art. He spends his free time working on his cars and exploring the dark corners of Gotham City with anyone who is willing or brave enough to tag along.

Amy Hoey
Dance Choreographer

A love for the arts has always been a huge part of Amy's life. She has been dancing since childhood and is blessed to continue doing what she love's now as an adult. After highschool Amy joined a professional hip hop company and spent the next four years traveling the world performing in schools and arenas with a team of international dancers, break dancers, DJ's, skate boarders and rappers. In 2005 she returned to her hometown to teach dance full time at a local studio. There she spent three years investing into the community, teaching dance classes, summer schools and theatre productions before she and her husband decided to move to the big city of Vancouver. Since being here Amy danced in the closing ceremonies of the Olympics, joined a professional hip hop dance company, choreographed numerous flash mobs and helped coordinate large dance events around the city. Amy has a passion to see the arts established in a greater way here in Vancouver and too see outlets created for young talent to purse their dreams.

Marty Beckers
Team Leader

Marty is a vegan and a germaphobe, and if you search Google for vegan germaphobe, he’s the only person in the entire world that comes up. His notable accomplishments include co-writing a book available on Amazon.com, setting a Guiness World Record, appearing in a television commercial and late night infomercial, getting stung by a scorpion, working for Arnold Schwarzenegger, and he has been written about in Good Housekeeping and The National Enquirer. He has lived a charmed life with a supportive family, a successful business, the perfect wife, two amazing dogs, and every toy and gadget imaginable. He’s never experienced any tragedies, broken bones, money problems, run-ins with law enforcement, ex-girlfriends, failed job interviews, or even spilled milk. As good as that sounds, it left him feeling as if something was lacking, like he was a prince locked in tower wanting to sneak out at night to get in trouble. One day he started writing a bucket list with every crazy thing he could think of, and that’s the day he really started living. Now he spends every day seeking out new adventures, giving out free hugs, and appreciating every moment.
